What We Do
Our Projects

Our Projects

Empowering boys and young men to lead with purpose, respect, and responsibility.

Men of Honour implements transformative programs that build character, promote gender equality, and strengthen the capacity of boys and young men to become positive change agents in their communities.

The Boys Concern Project

Empowering boys to become champions of respect and nonviolence.

The Boys Concern Project is one of Men of Honour's flagship initiatives aimed at preventing gender-based violence (GBV) by equipping adolescent boys and young men with the knowledge and tools to foster healthy relationships and positive masculinity.

Objectives:
  • To empower boys aged 14–24 with knowledge on gender equality, respectful relationships, and consent.
  • To engage schools, parents, and community leaders in building safer and more supportive environments for adolescents.
  • To reduce gender-based violence and promote community peacebuilding.
Achievements:

From January 2024, over 1,700 boys successfully completed the CBIM sessions. Parents, coaches and teachers have since reported noticeable behaviour changes, including increased politeness, empathy, and respect.

Location: The project operates in Lusaka District, with plans to expand to other provinces through school and sports-based sessions.

Creating Positive Change Through Education

Using the Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) curriculum developed by Futures Without Violence, the program helps boys understand respect, accountability, and nonviolence in their everyday interactions.

Our approach combines interactive workshops, mentorship programs, and community engagement to create lasting impact.

The Men's Boardroom

A safe space for young men to learn, reflect, and grow together.

The Men's Boardroom provides adolescent boys and young men (ABYM) with a structured mentorship platform focused on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), emotional intelligence, and responsible manhood.

Objectives:
  • To provide mentorship and SRHR education for young men aged 15–30.
  • To build emotional resilience and life skills through guided conversations and peer sessions.
  • To link participants to youth-friendly health services and vocational training.
Impact:

The program has reached over 800 boys and young men, of whom about 721 were linked to SRHR services and 30 to vocational training.

Location: Implemented in Lusaka, with sessions held at the Men of Honour Youth Hub and George Clinic, respectively.

Mentorship for Positive Development

The Men's Boardroom is designed as a youth-friendly space where participants can discuss challenges faced by men and boys, such as peer pressure, masculinity, mental health, and relationships openly and safely.

Through guided discussions and peer support, we're building a generation of emotionally intelligent and responsible young men.

The Safe Schools Initiative

Creating safe and respectful learning environments for all learners.

Funded by Act Ubumbano under the Solidarity Grant, the Safe Schools Initiative seeks to prevent school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) and promote safety and respect in schools.

Our Approach:
  • For Boys: Facilitators use the Live Respect Curriculum to discuss healthy manhood, gender norms, and respect.
  • For Girls: Sessions cover topics such as teenage pregnancies, child marriages, bullying, and various forms of abuse.
Duration:

Implemented from July to November 2025, targeting five schools in Lusaka including Chitukuko Community School, New Mutendere Secondary School, Chaseka Community School and Muchinga Primary School.

Support: This project is made possible through the generous support of Act Ubumbano under the Solidarity Grant.

Building Respectful Learning Environments

The project uses participatory sessions for both girls and boys, helping learners build confidence, understand gender equality, and speak out against abuse.

By addressing gender-based violence at its roots in educational settings, we're creating safer spaces where all students can thrive academically and personally.

The Tiko Partnership Project

Connecting young people to health, hope, and opportunity.

Men of Honour works with Tiko Zambia as a Demand Generation Partner, engaging adolescents and young people aged 16 to 24 years to access sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services.

Objectives:
  • To improve SRHR access and service uptake among adolescents and young people.
  • To promote healthy behaviours, including HIV prevention, family planning, and treatment adherence.
  • To strengthen data-driven decision-making and mobilizer management.
Current Coverage:

12 public health facilities across Lusaka District, engaging 70 trained mobilizers.

Impact:

Mobilizers have helped increase SRHR awareness, enrolment and service continuity among over 10,000 of young people both male and female.

Digital Solutions for Youth Health

Mobilizers, aged 18–25, link clients to youth-friendly facilities through the Tiko digital platform for continuous care and follow-up.

This innovative approach combines technology with community outreach to ensure young people have access to the health services they need.

Join the Movement

Together, we can redefine manhood, empower communities, and build a generation of responsible and respectful young men.
