Men of Honour implements transformative programs that build character, promote gender equality, and strengthen the capacity of boys and young men to become positive change agents in their communities.
Empowering boys to become champions of respect and nonviolence.
The Boys Concern Project is one of Men of Honour's flagship initiatives aimed at preventing gender-based violence (GBV) by equipping adolescent boys and young men with the knowledge and tools to foster healthy relationships and positive masculinity.
From January 2024, over 1,700 boys successfully completed the CBIM sessions. Parents, coaches and teachers have since reported noticeable behaviour changes, including increased politeness, empathy, and respect.
Location: The project operates in Lusaka District, with plans to expand to other provinces through school and sports-based sessions.
Using the Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM) curriculum developed by Futures Without Violence, the program helps boys understand respect, accountability, and nonviolence in their everyday interactions.
Our approach combines interactive workshops, mentorship programs, and community engagement to create lasting impact.
A safe space for young men to learn, reflect, and grow together.
The Men's Boardroom provides adolescent boys and young men (ABYM) with a structured mentorship platform focused on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), emotional intelligence, and responsible manhood.
The program has reached over 800 boys and young men, of whom about 721 were linked to SRHR services and 30 to vocational training.
Location: Implemented in Lusaka, with sessions held at the Men of Honour Youth Hub and George Clinic, respectively.
The Men's Boardroom is designed as a youth-friendly space where participants can discuss challenges faced by men and boys, such as peer pressure, masculinity, mental health, and relationships openly and safely.
Through guided discussions and peer support, we're building a generation of emotionally intelligent and responsible young men.
Creating safe and respectful learning environments for all learners.
Funded by Act Ubumbano under the Solidarity Grant, the Safe Schools Initiative seeks to prevent school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) and promote safety and respect in schools.
Implemented from July to November 2025, targeting five schools in Lusaka including Chitukuko Community School, New Mutendere Secondary School, Chaseka Community School and Muchinga Primary School.
Support: This project is made possible through the generous support of Act Ubumbano under the Solidarity Grant.
The project uses participatory sessions for both girls and boys, helping learners build confidence, understand gender equality, and speak out against abuse.
By addressing gender-based violence at its roots in educational settings, we're creating safer spaces where all students can thrive academically and personally.
Connecting young people to health, hope, and opportunity.
Men of Honour works with Tiko Zambia as a Demand Generation Partner, engaging adolescents and young people aged 16 to 24 years to access sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services.
12 public health facilities across Lusaka District, engaging 70 trained mobilizers.
Mobilizers have helped increase SRHR awareness, enrolment and service continuity among over 10,000 of young people both male and female.
Mobilizers, aged 18–25, link clients to youth-friendly facilities through the Tiko digital platform for continuous care and follow-up.
This innovative approach combines technology with community outreach to ensure young people have access to the health services they need.
Together, we can redefine manhood, empower communities, and build a generation of responsible and respectful young men.
